When I was 13 years old and visiting a friend, I noticed a pure white, different looking dog with a “funny” shaped head and diamond eyes playing the backyard. This dog’s comical mannerisms and unusual looks intrigued me. This event marked the moment when I became forever drawn to the Bull Terrier. Over the years, I could not get that image out of my head. However, it would be 30 more years of experiencing and working with all different kinds of dogs before I would share my home with a Miniature Bull Terrier.
Feeling that the Standard Bull Terriers were too large for us, our research revealed the existence of a smaller version – the Miniature Bull Terrier. The Mini Bull possesses the same clownish, strong-willed, muscular and loyal characteristics as its larger counter-part, just wrapped up in a smaller size.
Our mandate involves a strong commitment to improving this breed in terms of physical and mental health, temperament and proper conformation. We are strong believers in spreading breed awareness in order to ensure that these dogs end up in suitable homes that match their specific needs. We conduct ourselves with honesty and transparency, holding the welfare of our dogs above all else.
All of our dogs are of champion lines, sound temperaments, health tested and CKC registered. Puppies are occasionally available and are also CKC registered under a non-breeding contract. Puppies are de-wormed three times, crate trained at 7 weeks old, receive first vaccines and microchips at 8 weeks old plus are Veterinarian health certified with a detailed health record. In addition, puppies are pre-enrolled in a complimentary 6 week pet insurance coverage through “Pets Plus” and leave to their forever home with a “head start” care package and informational binder.
We highly recommend thoroughly researching this breed and breeders prior to making the commitment to have a puppy or placement join your family. Jewels Miniature Bull Terriers is located approximately 1.5 hours North of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
